Joseph began his career as a local rapper who directed his own music videos in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. That path soon led him to screenwriting. His first script, ‘THE TRUNK’ was picked up by Melee Entertainment (You Got Served and Next Day Air) and set star Djimon Honsou (Gladiator), Boris Kodjoe (Resident Evil), Thomas Kretschman (The Pianist) and Brian White (Tyler Perry’s GOOD DEEDS). The project was to be directed by Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard). Although the film was written about in a major article in VARIETY magazine (Ref. Exhibit A), the film was never produced. Shortly after, Joseph wrote the award winning feature film ‘WATER’S RISING’, which was released on DVD in April 2007 and has over 2M views on YouTube. Joseph’s purpose for writing has always been to ultimately direct his own films. His dream came to fruition when he was given the opportunity to write and direct the romantic comedy ‘SPEED-DATING’ which was a limited theatrical release in 18 cities and 23 theaters. ‘SPEED-DATING’ starred Chris Elliot, (There’s Something About Mary, Nutty professor II), Clint Howard (Apollo 13, Night At The Museum), Holly Robinson Peete (21 Jump Street), Wesley Jonathan (Soul Man, Roll Bounce), and Chico Benymon (Half & Half, Ali, Nickelodeon’s Haunted Hathaways). ‘SPEED DATING’ won the 2010 Audience Choice Award in the PAN AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL. In 2011, Joseph wrote, produced, directed and edited the controversial crime-drama ‘BECAUSE I LOVE YOU’, which is currently available on Amazon.com and is easily considered Joseph’s best work as a Director. After that, he directed the short film ‘MESSAGE TO MY UNBORN’, which was an official release at the CANNES Film Festival in France. In 2016, Joseph sold his screenplay titled ‘12 REASONS WHY MEN CHEAT’ for $50K, which allowed him to purchase top quality film and video equipment. He put his resources together to create his very own production company, ELMOREVISION ENTERTAINMENT. The company has already produced 2 feature films; ‘COMPLX’ and ‘HOW TO GET AWAY WITH CHEATING’, both slated for an early 2019 release.
